Amaravati, Nov 23: The Andhra Pradesh government had cancelled the licenses of all existing bars in the state with immediate effect while introducing a new policy on bars to be fully implemented in the state in the next two years.
The move came three days after the state government decided to shut down 40 per cent of the bars in the state as part of the government`s plan to implement total prohibition in phases. Jaganmohan Reddy-led YSRCP government in the state also unveiled a new bar policy, which will come into effect from January 1, 2020, and will remain in force for two years.
