DDC Pulwama takes stock of availability of essential commodities

PULWAMA, NOVEMBER 19: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer today convened a meeting to review the position of stock and supplies of essential commodities in the district here. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Altaf Ahmad Khan, AD FOOD, Petrol Pump / Gas agency owners and other concerned officials. The meeting was informed that all the essential commodities for winter including ration, petrol, diesel, fire wood, LPG and other items stands stocked in the district. It was informed that there are 231700 litres of Petrol, 518000 litres of Diesel, 902 of 19 kg and 14910 of 14 kg of gas cylinders are available in the district. It was also informed that among 28700 quintals of rice, 24000 quintals have been lifted whereas under MMS 9500 quintals are yet to be released. On the occasion, DDC directed the concerned that adequate quantity of essential commodities shall be dumped at different locations in the district and measures should be taken for timely deliverance of these commodities to the public. He urged for quality check of fuel and directed for maintenance of buffer stock of LPG and Petroleum products. He stressed for establishing 24*7 control rooms at respective offices.
