Jammu, Nov 8: A complaint was lodged by S Kulwant Singh R/O Poonch in Crime Branch Jammu along with relevant documents, for being cheated of over Rs. 4 lakh by one Rakesh Singh impersonating himself as RTO Jammu on mobile phone.
Rakesh contacted them on mobile and lured them for availing them RTO's discretionary discount for buying a new car & complainant was fell into the trap.
After verifications it was found that accused Rakesh Singh S/O Kair Singh R/O Dherian Khour is a notorious cheater. In recent past, fifteen warrants of arrest have been issued against the accused in different earlier legal suits of cheating by different courts.
Accused was evading arrest but after a track of around one month, today on a tipoff from a reliable source, acting swiftly crime branch arrested the Rakesh.
