Jammu, Nov 08: JKPCC has asked the government to immediately review to its decisions regarding transfer of registration powers to Revenue Authorities from Judicial Authorities and proposed shifting of High Court Complex to Sidhra reserves.
In a party handout, JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Mr. Ravinder Sharma has said that there is justifiable logic behind these moves which have greater implications from various aspects. The registration system prevalent in the past for decades is for better than many other parts of the country and working well without any demand from any quarters to disturb the same.
There are genuine apprehensions in the minds of legal fraternity and general public regarding the new system and especially in Jammu and Kashmir where there is rampart corruption in the process by the revenue authorities.
The proposed shifting of High Court building is also not advisable and an avoidable wasteful expenditure apart from destroying precious environment reserve.
