Retirement age of AIDCL staff brought at par with Govt employees

SRINAGAR, MAY 18The Board of Jammu and Kashmir State Agro Industries Development Corporation Limited (JKAIDCL) Wednesday decided to enhance the retirement age of the employees of the Corporation from 58 to 60 years.

This decision was taken in 64th Board of Directors (BoD) meeting of the Corporation held here under the chairmanship of Minister for Agriculture Mr Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura who is also the chairman of the Corporation.

Several decisions were taken in the meeting held after a gap of more than two years.

The meeting was attended by the Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, Mr. Sandeep Naik, Managing Director, J&K AIDCL Mr. Asif Hamid Khan, Director Agriculture Kashmir Mr. Showkat Ahmad Beigh, Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir, Dr. Makhdoomi, Director Horticulture Kashmir Mr. P. K. Sharma, Director Panning Mr. Jamwal, Director Budget, Mr. I. A Wani  and  Under Secretary, APD.

The Board decided that an employee of J&K AIDCL in service on 01-06-2014, or appointed on or after that date, shall retire on his attaining the age of 60 years.

Implementation of 6th Pay Commission issue was agreed in principle, however, the Board directed the Managing Director of the Corporation to come up with draft resolution to workout financial implications in this regard.

To improve the working of the Corporation, the Board decided that the J&K AIDCL will take three posts of General Manager from General Administration Department (GAD) on deputation basis and their pay will be drawn from the Corporation.

With regard to non-functional Petrol Pump at Lal Mandi, Srinagar, the Chairman directed the J&K AIDCL to prepare a Detailed Project Report alongwith financial involvement and submit the same in its next meeting.

The Board also asked the Corporation to prepare a comprehensive plan for relocation of Cold Storage Plant from Lal Mandi Srinagar to Khunmoh and submit the same in next BODs meeting.

To make Corporation more profitable, the Board decided that it will approach GAD and Finance departments with the request that the instructions should go to all the departments to purchase agriculture machinery and other equipments from J&K AIDCL.

The Board decided that modernization of Food Processing Plant, Khunmoh will be taken up with the Union Ministry of Food Processing.

Discussing the issue of Cattle Feed Plant, Bari Brahamana Jammu, it was informed that Cattle Feed is a vital component of the total package of technical inputs directly related to the enhancement and sustenance of milk yield. 

The Minister directed the MD of the Corporation to ensure outsourcing after following codal and tender procedure in this regard. Mr. Hanjura directed for strengthening procurement mechanism and it should be in transparent manner.
