RAJOURI, JUNE 28: Aiming at enhancing education standards in primary schools, the district administration has formulated a programme ‘Mission- Padhai-Likhai’ with constitution of District Educational Advisory Committee comprising former academicians as its members.
In this regard, District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad today held a meeting with the officers and other concerned.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Shamas-Un-Ahmed, Chief Education Officer, M.A Rather, Zonal Education Officers, senior teachers and prominent former educationists.
The participants put forth various suggestions for improvement of primary education besides laying stress on strengthening the process of active feedback from the parents about the learning process of their children.
They also advised constitution of cluster heads for regular monitoring of teaching process in order to ensure quality learning in primary schools. They also said that the teachers must acquaint themselves with the play way methods while teaching different concepts to make the learning process interesting and enjoyable.
The DDC informed that district administration will soon constitute District Educational Advisory Committee at district level with former educationists as its members to further strengthen the basic Education system in the district. The committee will meet once in three months and advise the administration on important issues related to strengthening of education system in the district.
Meanwhile, DDC said that Village Education Councils will be constituted at panchayat level which will regularly monitor the functioning of Educational institutions in the panchayats. This move will ensure regularity and punctuality in the schools thus helping in achieving excellence in the academic profile of the district.
