
NEW DELHI, Apr 26: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday assured students of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar that the Congress party will raise the concerns of the students over their safety in campus with the government.
The NIT campus had witnessed clashes between Local and non-Local students after the locals celebrated West Indies' win over the Indian cricket team in the world T-20 semi final match on March 31 and after that assault on students by Police created stir.
Non Local students off late have been demanding NIT Centre at Jammu/Presence of CRPF at campus after their demand of Shifting NIT out of Srinagar was rejected.
