UDHAMPUR, APRIL 25 - Director General of Police, Prisons, Dr. S.P. Vaid visited District Jail Udhampur. The purpose of the visit was to take stock of security arrangements and to evaluate the reformatory programmes running in the Jail.
During the visit the DGP Prisons visited all prisoners barracks and interacted with inmates regarding facilities being provided in the Jail. DGP gave on spot directions to the technical wing to execute minor repairs and upgrade the infrastructure to improve the living conditions in the prison.
Superintendent, District Jail Udhampur apprised the DGP regarding vocational and educational programmes running in the Jail.
The DGP visited Jail hospital and stressed upon the medical staff to provide medical care as per community standards to the ailing inmates.
