JAMMU, APRIL 21: Minister of State for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Housing & Urban Development Ms. Asiea Naqash Thursday impressed upon the officers of Housing and Urban Development to ensure that the developmental projects are completed with the set timelines
The instructions were given by the Minister today while assessing the progress on various ongoing projects being executed by the department .
Commissioner Secretary Housing and Urban development, Hirdesh Kumar and other senior officers of the department were present in the meeting.
The Minister directed the concerned to ensure removal of encroachments in Dal Lake and its periphery and also for proper upkeep of foot paths to facilitate the pedestrians. Stressing on scientific and affordable means of garbage disposal the Minister stressed that cost-effective technologies should be used that can successfully handle segregated and un-segregated waste without harming the environment
She asked Commissioner Secretary to ensure proper monitoring of the ongoing projects so that these are completed in the stipulated time frame.
