Dy CM holds Janta Darbar at Billawar Release s 15 lakh from CDF for PHE, PWD works

KATHUA, APRIL 15: To hear the plight of common people and to bring Government to the door steps of people, Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh held a Janta Darbar at village Aglidhar , Billawar.

A number of demands were put forth by the residents which consist of road connectivity between Sialna to Aglidhar , bridge between Aglidhar and Nalah Rehan Bral , medical sub centre between Barail and Aglidhar , veterinary Hospital at Rajwalta and renewal of Gun licenses etc.

After hearing the problem raised by the residents, executive engineer PMGSY assured that the work of road link between Sialna to Aglidhar will commence soon as the tenders were already floated. AEE PHE was directed on the spot to resolve the problem of shortage of water at Aglidhar by laying sufficient pipelines and the concerned authorities are further directed to identify the spot along with the villagers to install two hand pumps to mitigate the problem of drinking water at village Barail. Problem of ration card along with the distribution of ration was also raised, to which DyCM immediately directed the TSO to resolve the issue and streamline the process of distribution of ration at supply depots.

Dr Nirmal Singh gave Rs. 15 lakh from his constituency development fund for various development works under PHE and PWD from Barail to Aglidhar.

While addressing the Janta Darbar, Dy CM said that the Government of Jammu and Kashmir is devoted to make the lives of people progressive by embarking on reformist policies. He further said that the agenda of the government is to bring development to the remotest corner and the citizens have to actively participate in this process by taking benefits of various schemes launched by the state and central government. He added that it is his endeavor to organize Janta Darbars since the formation of Government so that people living at far off places do not feel neglected.   

Dr Nirmal Singh also mentioned ‘Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday’ Abhiyan which was launched on 14th April and is aimed at strengthening social harmony by villagers by organinsing Gram Kisan Sabha and Gram Sabha Meeting to create awareness of schemes in agriculture sector and focusing on issues related to village development. The abhiyan will conclude on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Diwas on 24thApril.
