Kabaddi tournament organized by IRP 7th Battalion concludes

JAMMU, Mar 29 – As a Part of Civic Action Programme, 2-day Kabaddi tournament organized by IRP 7th Battalion at Government Primary School Pouni Chack in collaboration with Bawa Jitto Sport Club Jammu concluded today.

The tournament was organised under the supervision of Commandant IRP 7th Battalion, Deepak Kumar Slathia and assisted by Dy Commandant, Tabassum Parveen, SP (Quartermaster) Master Popsy and other officers of IRP 7th Battalion

IGP, IRP, Yoginder Koul was the chief guest on the concluding day.

16 teams consisting of 160 players participating in the tournament were categorized in three sections- senior men, senior women and boys junior. Track suits were distributed to all the participating players of the tournament.

In senior men category, Bawa Jitto Club, in senior women category, Women Sai Club and in junior boys category NIS Club Boys team won the winner trophies.

The certificates along with cash price amount of Rs.45,000/- were also distributed among the winner and runner up teams in all the three categories by IRP 7th Battalion.

A large number of locals witnessed the matches and highly appreciated such efforts of police department which strengthen the police-public relations and hoped that such events will continue to be organised in future.

Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Kumat Slathia thanked all the officers/members of Bawa Jitto Sports Club, participating players and general public for their cooperation for smooth and successful completion of the event.
