Independence Day -2015 Full dress rehearsals held across Jammu region

 

JAMMU, Aug 13: Ahead of Independence Day celebration, full dress rehearsals were held in all districts and Tehsil headquarters of Jammu region amid tight security arrangements here on Thursday.In Jammu, the full dress rehearsal was held at Parade Ground Jammu were,  ADDC Jammu Anuradha Gupta hoisted the National Flag and  took salute at the march past comprising contingents of CRPF, IRP, IR, District Police, SDRF, Forest Protection Force, Auxiliary Police, Fire & Emergency Services, NCC cadets, educational institutions.

 

IGP Jammu Danesh Rana, Deputy Commissioner,   Simrandeep Singh, ACG Jammu Shenaz Akhtar, Joint Director Fire & Services R T Dubey, Deputy Director Information (PR) Afshan Masood besides senior officers of various departments and police were also present on the occasion.

 

A scintillating cultural programme featuring patriotic songs, folk dances and music was also presented by the students of various schools as part of the full dress rehearsal.The DC interacted with the students and contingents   and appreciated their preparations for the national event. 

         

 Similarly, full dress rehearsals were also held at Kathua, Udhampur, Doda, Reasi, Poonch, Rajouri, Samba, Ramban and Kisthwar.

 In Kathua full dress rehearsal was  held at   Sports Stadium, where District Development Commissioner, Ajay Singh Jamwal hoisted the National Flag and  took salute at the march past comprising contingents of CRPF, District Police, Police Training School, NCC cadets and platoons of boys and girls from different government as well as private educational institutions

A colorful culture programme was also presented on the occasion by the students

ASP, Kathua, Nisar Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed, District Officers and Principals of Government and Private schools and large number of students also attended the function.

Similar rehearsals were held at tehsil headquarters Billawar, Basohli and Bani.

In Reasi, the full dress rehearsal was held under the supervision of District Development commissioner (DDC) Reasi, Sushma Chauhan and Senior Superintendent of Police,   Sujit Kumar.

          On the occasion, the DC took salute at an impressive march past of 29 contingents drawn from Forest Protection Force, NCC,CRPF, IRP, J&K Police, STC Talwara, NCC and various educational institutions of Reasi and its adjoining areas.

Students from different educational institutions presented a scintillating cultural programme based on patriotic songs, folk dances and music. The students also presented skits highlighting adverse effects of social evils.  

At Katra full dress rehearsal was held under the supervision of SDM and Additional Superintendent of Police Katra.

          At Ramban, full dress rehearsal was held with patriotic zeal and enthusiasm at District Police Line Chandrog, Ramban where District Development Commissioner Ramban, Farooq Ahmed Shah Bukhari hoisted the National Flag and took the salute from the contingents.

          As many as 20 contingents including Military band, CRPF, IRF, JKP, FPF, NCC, squads drawn from various institutions took part in the parade.

          The DC expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by various departments for   the Independence Day function. He also directed SSP for providing transport facility to the local people at two locations ie Karol and Digdol from 7:00 am onwards.  

Among others, ADDC, ADC, ACR, DYSSO, heads of various institutions, prominent citizens followed by huge gathering also witnessed the event.

          At Doda, Deputy Commissioner Mr  Bhupinder Kumar and SSP Doda Mr Z N Manhas supervised the final full dress rehearsal held at the local Sports stadium.

          The SSP inspected the march past contingents and issued certain instructions to the participants for the final day.   

While speaking on the occasion, the DC Mr. Bhupinder Kumar highlighted the relevance of the national festival. He hoped for enthusiastic participation of school students, citizens, District administration in the celebrations.

          Similarly Full Dress rehearsal, to finalize the arrangements for Independence Day function, was also organized in Government Higher Secondary School (Boys) Bhaderwah under the supervision of SDM.

          In Rajouri, the full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Line Rajouri amid tight security arrangements.

District Development Commissioner, Rajouri Ms Deepti Uppal hoisted the National flag and inspected the march past. The contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, FPF, Lady Police, NCC Cadets, Government and private schools children participated in the march past.

     The school children presented scintillating cultural programmes featuring traditional dance and music.

       Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner, Veer Jee Hangloo, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mumtaz Choudhary, Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr. Haseeb Mughal and all the district officers were present on the occasion. 

     Later, the DDC also felicitated the players of kho kho team of district Rajouri which emerged runner up at a state level tournament held at Baramulla.  

         At Udhampur, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, , Mr. Angrez Singh Rana took salute at the impressive march past of 36 contingents drawn from CRPF, Police, Forest Protection Force, NCC, Educational Institutions besides Police Band, at the  full dress rehearsal.

         The Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mr Rajeev Magotra, Engineers of R&B, PDD, PHE, District Information Officer, Chief Education Officer, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, and district heads of various departments were present to witness the full dress rehearsal.

          The contingents of CRPF, District Police, NCC and students from different government and private educational institutions presented the march past as part of full dress rehearsal.

At Samba, the   District Development commissioner, Sheetal Nanda hoisted the tricolor and took salute at the march past.   

During the rehearsal, the students also presented a cultural programme prepared for the Independence Day function.
