FC Revenue Orders Conduct Of Jamabandies Of 912 Villages In Jammu

 

JAMMU, MARCH 18: Financial Commissioner Revenue (FCR) Pramod Kumar Jain today directed the concerned officers of Revenue department to conduct Jamabandies of 912 villages of Jammu district during the current fiscal.

He gave these directions during a meeting convened to review the functioning of the department.

The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr Pawan Kotwal, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioners Jammu , Assistant Commissioners, Sub Divisional Magistrates besides tehsildars and all field functionaries of the revenue department.

 Financial Commissioner asked the concerned officers to immediately prepare schedule for the forthcoming Rabi-Girdawari scheduled to start from April 1st2016 besides maintaining a calender of inspections of Girdawari. He also directed the Patwaris to sit in a notified office building for two days in a week for ensuring prompt service delivery.

Other issues like status of court work, pending mutation, land acquisition cases, DPCs and status of disposal of vigilance complaints were also discussed during the meeting. The Financial Commissioner   stressed on timebound disposal of vigilance complaints to improve transparency and accountability in the system.

Mr Jain exhorted upon the concerned officers to make concerted efforts to streamline the functioning of the department especially by maintaining proper liaison with the field functionaries who are real link with the people at the grassroot level. He also impressed upon field functionaries including patwaris, girdawars to work with vigor and zeal to  improve the functioning of the  department.
