JAMMU, Mar 15: The State Advisory Council meeting scheduled on Tuesday at 10:30 am to approve the J&K Budget was postponed with no next date announced and the reason for postponement of the meeting was cited that Governor N N Vohra is not feeling well.
The Finance department officials worked overtime in last few days to give final shape to the J&K Budget , was printed late Monday night and was circulated to members of SAC late Monday night.
Sources told Cross Town News that on Tuesday morning all the officials were present for presentation of Budget, but the news came that Budget will not be presented today and Governor’s health was cited as reason.
Sources told Cross Town News that PDP-BJP government formation is nearing the finish line in J&K and Arun Jaitley’s statement has given more fuel to the government formation talks and they said the Budget could also be delayed due to this reason.
