Jammu, June 14, 2018: Remembering Brigadier Rajinder Singh on his 119th Birth Anniversary today, JKPCC has paid rich tributes to the savior of Kashmir who gave the supreme sacrifice while defending his Motherland.
JKPCC Chief Shri G.A. Mir has said that the supreme sacrifice of Brigadier Rajinder Singh can’t be forgotten for all times to come, as he saved Kashmir by halting the march of Pakistan Army regulars and raiders for four days, which was the most crucial period and ultimately the Indian Army landed in Kashmir. With a small contingent of around 100 personnel Brigadier Rajinder Singh took upon himself the entire command to face the enemy and stop their progress. He was successful in his aim but had to lay down his own life. This is rarest example when a General himself indulged in close fight with enemy. He is the real hero of all times to come, for setting an unparallel example in the history. The entire rank and file of the party pay rich tributes to this great son of our State.
