Jan demands sensitizing all vacated locations of SF camps, inquires health of Poonch blast victims

JAMMU, Feb 28: Appealing state authorities and security forces to identify all and sensitize all those areas where camps were located in the past, Jammu Provincial President of Youth National Conference , Ajaz Jan today inquired the health of the two boys who sustained injuries in a suspected mine blast in Azmabad village of Poonch Mandi.

Jan visited Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu where he interacted with both the injured boys as well as with their attendants and inquired about their health.

Both Waseem Akram and Tahir Ahmed got injured in a suspected mine explosion in Azmabad village of Poonch Mandi two days back when both were playing in the open fields and an explosion took place.

" You will be healthy and fit soon and are future of our society and every citizen of Poonch is with you " Jan told both the injured boys in an encouraging manner asking them to follow the doctor advise for early recovery.

Meanwhile, Youth NC Provincial President Ajaz Jan has also appealed state authorities and security forces to identify all those areas where camps of army or any other para military force  were located and to carry out sensitization operations in these locations to ensure that no left out explosive material is present there.

" As per locals, camp of a para military force was located at the explosion site which was removed in last 90s and there is possibility that the explosion was due to any left out explosive material in the area " Jan said adding that as the Azmabad village is located very far from LoC, so there is very less chance that the explosion took place due to any LoC related explosive material.

There are several areas where camps of security forces were located in past but removed later on and all such areas, especially in border district Poonch, should be identified and marked and an operation should be launched to destroy any left out explosive material present.

He also said that the matter will be taken up with Governor's administration for necessary action in the matter.
