JAMMU, Feb 10: In application filed by one applicant in High Court raised serious issues including that despite clear cut directions by this Court regarding ban on sale and construction on Khad, the Jammu Development Authority invited applications for allotments of Plots in three colonies namely Gole Gujral Housing Colony, Roop Nagar Housing colony, Kot Bhalwal Housing Colony and the Bir-Pur Housing Colony.
If JDA and Housing Department can develop colonies in khads, then why the Administration imposed ban on private Landlords to sell or develop their land prior to filing of PIL. An enquiry is needed to be conducted by a high level committee to see if the big colonies are established since a long but a single plot of nomenclature on today as gairmumkin khad is not eligible for construction.
Why the revenue authorities not bothered to change the tiltle of the single plot in the locality of big clusture of houses to some other?
It is pertinent to mention here that HHC, Jammu has reserved the judgment into the matter, & the owners are expecting a suitable orders for the lands, which are not otherwise on banks of rivers/khads but entered as gairmumkin khads in records.
