Udhampur, Feb 16: Amit Sharma, Regional Director, Survey and Land Records (Ex-officio Settlement Officer) Udhampur/Reasi today conducted a field tour and a random inspection of revenue records of Niabat Mali falling under Tehsil Udhampur wherein lot of issues were pointed out for incorporating in revenue registers so as to keep all records in order. He was accompanied by a team of officers including NT Karnail Singh, NT Narinder Kumar, GQ Chak Rakwalan with additional charge of Mansar Ajay Kumar Verma, P/H Krimchi Vimal Kumar Sharma, P/H Mali Onkar Singh, P/H Sail Jattan Sham Lal, P/H Debhrah Santanter Singh, P/H Chack Visual Sharma, P/H Tope Waseem Akram, P/H Tirshi Hams Raj, Bhagat Singh and others.
A major issue which was brought to the notice of RD, S&LR Amit Sharma during the visit was the missing road link/connectivity towards this most prominent world-famous heritage tourism site of Pandav temples at Krimchi which is protected by Archaeological Survey of India, towards which he gave a patient hearing and assured that this issue will be taken up with all appropriate authorities for removing all hurdles in establishing a black-topped road link. Amit agreed that this is a mandatory requirement to have proper road connectivity towards Krimchi temples and he assured that all alternatives shall be discussed with concerned quarters to have shortest distance road link of Krimchi temples with Udhampur district headquarters so as to facilitate public movement and multiply footfall to this beautiful, calm and peaceful high potential tourist spot.
Alongside, during the Inspection led by RD, S&LR Amit Sharma, revenue records of two revenue villages falling under Krimchi and Mansar Patwar Halqas (P/Hs) were checked and Few anomalies were pointed out such as cutting/over-writing/scratching in revenue records which was taken seriously and strict instructions were passed to desist from such practices in future as per standing orders issued from time to time. It was disclosed that around 170 khatas amongst 350 khatas of revenue village Mali were written whereas RD, S&LR directed to pick-up the pace and finish the task and deposit the Jamabandi of same by March 31.
Moreover, Amit issued directions to strictly adhere to the order pertaining to putting signatures and stamps of respective patwaries before issuing any revenue document and also on all the revenue records and registers so that the identity of signing authority can be clearly found out. Apart from this, more observations were made including Inteqal entries should be made in registers after deposition and proper entry of fees in respective columns, proper stamp/signing of Goshwara and Jamabandis to be deposited at the earliest so as to facilitate earliest computerisation of land records under DILRMP.
