
SAMBA, Jan 11, 2016: Managing Director J&K SIDCO Amit Sharma exhorted upon all officers of the Corporation towards creation of clean and green industrial estates all across Jammu & Kashmir today when he made a surprise visit to Industrial Growth Centre Samba wherein two
phases are already functional and third phase of same is going to be functional soon.
MD Amit Sharma was accompanied by SIDCO General Manager Jammu Vikram K.Gupta, Executive Engineer Pankaj Gupta and other team members and later, Estates Manager Samba Ajeet Singh, his Assistant Pawan Sethi and others also joined. In later part of visit, MD J&K SIDCO Amit Sharma took a lead towards creating green industrial estates by planting a sapling in the lawns of Estates Office Samba in the presence of all officers of the Corporation. GM Jammu also followed suit and he also planted a sapling there. While initiating this drive, Amit emphasized that all Industrial Estates of SIDCO should be green and clean estates with zero pollution levels and there should be maximum green cover to compensate for the pollutants and emissions from various plants in the Industrial Estates. worthwhile to mention here that J&K SIDCO is already in the process of creating Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Plant and/or Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) in various Estates spread all across in Jammu & Kashmir.
Before concluding the visit, MD SIDCO Amit Sharma also took a meeting in which re-orientation and target setting was done to make third phase of IGC Samba functional at the earliest and he also passed on the directions of administrative department for exploring maximum possibilities towards expansion of existing Industrial Estates and creation of new Industrial Estates in a time-bound manner. The staff of SIDCO expressed total commitment towards all such visionary plans and creation of green and clean SIDCO Industrial Estates in the times to come.
