MLA  chairs meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti


KATHUA NOVEMBER 10: MLA Kathua, Rajeev Jasrotia, chaired a meeting of governing body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti, here today.

A threadbare discussion was held on procurements needed for the development of the hospital and providing better healthcare facilities to the patients.         

Various issues pertaining to shortage of Doctors, Blood Bank officer and Para Medic staff, immediate repair of Solar Power Plant at Kathua District Hospital, updation of machinery and equipments at Blood Bank, requirement of new ambulance, upgrading Labour Room, operationalization of C-T Scan, updation of Operation Theatre/Resuscitation section and other requirements for improving health care facilities were discussed in the meeting.

MLA directed the concerned authorities to reflect the exact amount of funds required for operationalization of old Emergency block. He also directed the officers of PWD department to prepare an estimate for black topping of road in front of Emergency block.

For bringing accountability and transparency in the working of RKS, MLA immediately ordered to constitute a sub-committee comprising of XEN PDD, CEO, Medical Superintendent and two non official members to examine all the de facto sanctions and report immediately.

Taking a detailed view of the agenda, Rajeev approved the essential requirements to improve the functioning of the hospital. He directed the concerned officers to work in synergy to ensure proper utilization of available resources in the interest of patient care.

MLA called upon the officers to implement the decisions taken up in RKS meetings in letter and spirit to provide better medicare . He said the government is committed to provide health facilities in rural areas and in this regard requisite steps are underway .

CMO, Dr. Ashok Chaudhary, Medical Superintendent, Dr. S D Atri, XEN PWD, XEN PHE and other members were present on the occasion.
