Jammu, November 03: Jammu Municipal Corporation conducted anti encroachment drive in various areas of city.
The drive was conducted in compliance of the Hon'ble High Court directions as well regarding removal of unauthorized rehries or the encroachments on the roads in the areas from City Chowk to Central Basic High School Purani Mandi Jammu.
The team removed encroachments and cleared the footpaths and pavements. The team seized 2 illegal rehries plying without licence from these areas and seized 4 trucks of material displayed by the shopkeepers/phariwalas in front of their shops and footpaths causing traffic congestion and free flow of pedestrians.
The Commissioner, JMC, Ramesh Kumar(IAS) said that the said drive shall continue, som that general public may not face any problem during their movement. He said that general public is informed that they can register their online complaints, so that their grievance can be sorted out at their door steps.
