KATHUA, Dec 5: Three Engineers of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department were among 29 people injured in two road mishaps in Kathua and Samba districts today.
Their vehicle was part of the cavalcade of the Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Ch. Sukhnandan which skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Jandrali area on the Bani -Basohli road in the Kathua district.Three senior Engineer Superintending Engineer, Hydraulic, Kathua, Ashok Gandotra, Executive Engineer PHE, Sumit Puri, Executive Engineer Irrigation and Flood control, Ved Prakash were seriously injured in the accident.
They were airlifted to Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu in a special chopper for treatment.
