NEW DELHI, Oct 21: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has sanctioned prosecution proceedings against Dodla Dairy Ltd., Surya Food & Agro Ltd., the manufacturer of Priyagold biscuits, and Ueir Organic Foods Pvt. Ltd. over alleged food safety violations involving full cream milk, biscuits and organic yellow raisins.
The cases highlight the importance of raw-material approval, laboratory testing, manufacturing hygiene and compliance with food safety standards across the food processing industry.
