JAMMU, Nov 29: Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Zulfikar Choudhary sent a dissenting note to the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on the ground that several pro-people decisions of the department were not incorporated in the report after Cabinet Sub Committee meeting.
As per sources many points suggested by the Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Ch Zulfkar Ali were completely ignored by the Minister for Finance, Dr Haseeb A Drabu.
As per sources CAPD Minister suggested that National Food Security Act should be initially implemented in the six districts from January 1, 2016 on experimental basis and the same to be extended to rest districts of the State from April 1, 2016 but the Finance Minister opposed the suggestion
It will interesting to see how things will go in the next Cabinet meeting as the topic is expected to pick up the heat there on 2nd December.
