JAMMU, Oct 05: Jammu and Kashmir Government accepted resignation of Junior Engineer Naseem Ahmad Kasana.
The Order copy with Cross Town News reads as "Whereas, on the recommendations of the J&K Services Selection Board, Shri Naseem Ahmad Kasana was appointed as Junior Engineer (civil) vide Government Order No. 61-PW(R&B) of 2024 dated 07.03.2024, and his services were placed at the disposal of the Chief Engineer, PW(R&B) Department, North Kashmir, for further posting; and
Whereas, subsequent to his appointment and joining, the Chief Engineer, PW(R&B) Department, North Kashmir, vide communication No. CE/NK/ESTAB/1889-92 dated 01.07.2026, informed that Shri Naseem Ahmad Kasana, Junior Engineer, had tendered his resignation from the post of Junior Engineer w.e.f. 02.05.2026, on the ground that he has been appointed as Junior Engineer (Civil) in the Jal Shakti Department vide Government Order No. 82-JK(JSD) of 2026 dated 30.04.2026; and Whereas, the matter has been examined with reference to the rules governing the subject and it has been observed that the official has completed the prescribed period of probation successfully and has tendered resignation from the post of Junior Engineer(civil) on his own request with effect from 02.05.2026; and under:
Whereas, Articles 200 of the J&K Civil Service Regulations, Volume-I, provide as "Resignation of the public service or removal from it for misconduct, insolvency, inefficiency not due to age or failure to pass a prescribed examination, entails forfeiture of past service."
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested under Article 200 of the J&K Civil Service Regulations, Volume-I, the resignation tendered by Shri Naseem Ahmad Kasana, Junior Engineer (civil), is hereby accepted with effect from 02.05.2026 on his own request with forfeiture of past service and he is discharged from Government Service.
His name shall be deleted from the relevant seniority list of Junior Engineers (civil), subject to fulfillment of all other codal/formal requirements."
