NC , Congress MLAs meet in Srinagar ahead of Assembly Session


SRINAGAR, Sep 20: A meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Legislature Party was held today at the Banquet Hall, Srinagar, under the chairmanship of Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah.

JKNC Vice President and Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also attended the meeting.

Six MLAs of the Indian National Congress also joined the meeting as part of the deliberations ahead of the forthcoming Assembly session.

The meeting was convened ahead of the Autumn Session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, scheduled to commence tomorrow.

The legislators deliberated on the forthcoming session, the legislative business to be taken up, and various issues of public importance.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah called upon the legislators to remain closely coordinated and ensure that the concerns and aspirations of the people are effectively raised in the House. He stressed the importance of constructive participation and focused engagement on matters concerning the people.

The members also deliberated on issues relating to public welfare, development and governance, besides discussing the priorities to be taken up during the session.

The meeting underscored the importance of coordinated participation by the party legislators in the proceedings of the Assembly.
