The Ladakh Administration has sanctioned Rs 1.52 crore in compensation for the families of four people killed and 44 injured during the violence in the Union Territory on September 24, 2025, Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena said on Sunday.
Under the approved package, the next of kin of each of the four deceased will receive Rs 15 lakh, while people who suffered major injuries will be given Rs 3 lakh each and those with minor injuries will receive Rs 1 lakh each.
The compensation package comprises Rs 60 lakh for the four deceased, Rs 72 lakh for 24 people with major injuries and Rs 20 lakh for 20 people with minor injuries.
The September 24 violence had resulted in four deaths and injuries to 43 civilians, according to the UT Administration.
