Srinagar, Sep 01: LG Manoj Sinha orders appointment of District Judges on ad-hoc basis Government Order No. 10861-JK(LD) of 2026. Dated. 01 - 09-2026. Details with CTN read as under:-
As recommended by the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and in terms of rule 20 of the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Judicial Service Rules 2009, sanction is hereby accorded to the extension in ad-hoc appointment of the following Civil Judges (Sr. Division) as District Judges (Entry Level) appointed vide Government Order No. 14014-JK(LD) of 2024 dated 05-08-2024 for a further period of six months with effect from the expiry of the date of their previous term i.e. 05-08-2026 or till the posts are filled up on regular basis, whichever is earlier:
1. Ramesh Lal 2. Parvin Pandoh 3. Faizan UI Haq Iqbal 4. Noor Mohd. Mir 5. Ms. Swati Gupta 6. Ms. Rafia Hassan
The aforesaid extension in the ad-hoc appointment shall be subject to the following conditions:
i. The ad-hoc appointment shall not confer any right to claim seniority or any other superior right to the ad-hoc appointees viz-a-viz those who may be appointed pursuant to regular selection against Direct or LCE quota; and
ii. The ad-hoc appointees shall be reverted to the cadre of Civil Judges (Sr. Division )/Sub Judges in case they are not found fit for promotion to the post of District Judge after regular selection process or in case sufficient posts are not available for their promotion on regular basis.
