New Delhi, Sept 1: Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and Madhya Pradesh high courts have got permanent Chief Justices.
The Supreme Court Collegium on August 31, 2026 recommended the appointment of Justice Sanjay K Agrawal as the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court amid ongoing controversy.
Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati and Justice Alpesh Yeshvant Kogje have been appointed as Chief Justices of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and Madhya Pradesh High Court respectively.
Justice Agrawal is a judge in the Chhattisgarh High Court; Justice Bhati is a judge of the Rajasthan High Court; and Justice Kogje is serving at Gujarat High Court.
The decision to recommend their names for Chief Justice was taken by the collegium at a meeting held on August 31, 2026
