Indore, Aug 23: The district administration and food safety officials in Indore have sealed two kitchens and a bakery of a five-star hotel following an inspection that uncovered several food safety and hygiene breaches.
The inspection took place at Sayaji Hotel Private Limited in the Vijay Nagar area under the direction of the district administration.
Food Safety Officer stated that the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and the food department teams found multiple non-compliances.
These included the storage of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food in the same compartment, posing a risk of cross-contamination.
Additionally, food items were discovered without proper packing dates or batch numbers.
