JAMMU, Aug 18: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah chaired a comprehensive review meeting today to assess preparations for the inaugural International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK) 2026, scheduled from September 7 to 10.
The festival will feature Film screenings, masterclasses for emerging filmmakers and vibrant cultural performances.
The Chief Minister directed that Jammu & Kashmir’s rich heritage, cuisine, handicrafts, art forms and iconic tourist destinations be prominently showcased during the festival.
He called for meticulous planning and seamless inter-departmental coordination to establish IFFJK as a premier annual event on the global film calendar.
Advisor Nasir Sogami, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo , ACS to CM Dheeraj Gupta, ACS Finance Shaleen Kabra, ACS Tourism Ashish Chander Verma, Commissioner/Secretary Infromation R Alice Vaz , Comm/Sec School Education Ram Niwas Sharma were present in the meeting.
