RAMBAN, AUGUST 13: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a District-Level Panch Sammelan on Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Gramin (VB-G RAM G) organised by the Rural Development Department here in the Conference Hall, District Administrative Complex (DAC)Maitra.
The programme was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Shokat Hayat Mattoo, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Sheraz Ahmed and Block Development Officers (BDOs) of the district.
The Sammelan witnessed participation from former PRI representatives, ex-BDC members, ex-DDC members and a large number of people.
The officials from RDD briefed the participants about the objectives, key provisions and implementation framework of the VB-G RAM G scheme.
An interactive discussion and awareness session was also held to familiarise the participants with the salient features and provisions of the scheme and to address their queries.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the major characteristics and important features of the scheme, emphasising its objectives and significance in strengthening rural development and ensuring effective implementation through grassroots-level institutions.
He stressed the importance of active participation of PRIs, local stakeholders and the general public for achieving the desired outcomes of the scheme.
The Deputy Commissioner also called for wider awareness among rural communities regarding the scheme so that its benefits reach the intended beneficiaries in a transparent, efficient and time-bound manner.
He urged the concerned officers to maintain close coordination with grassroots institutions and ensure effective dissemination of information at the village level.

e emphasised that the active involvement of PRIs and community representatives is essential for strengthening participatory governance and ensuring that the objectives of the scheme are translated into tangible benefits on the ground.
The interactive session provided an opportunity to the participants to seek clarifications, share suggestions and discuss issues related to the implementation of the scheme.
The programme culminated with a vote of thanks by ACD Ramban Sheraz Ahmed, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, participants, PRI representatives, officials and members of the public for their active participation and cooperation in making the Sammelan successful.
