DC Ramban stresses the need for a systematic, transparent and error-free conduct of Population Enumeration

RAMBAN, AUGUST 11: A two-day district-level training programme on Population Enumeration (PE), organised in the run-up to Phase-II of Census-2027, commenced today in the Conference Hall, Maitra. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, who is also the Principal Census Officer for the district, inaugurated the training programme.

The training programme is aimed at imparting the necessary knowledge, technical know-how and operational skills required for the smooth and effective conduct of Phase-II of Census-2027 in the district.

Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner underscored the significance of the Census exercise and impressed upon all officers and officials to develop a thorough understanding of the prescribed guidelines, procedures and operational protocols.

He stressed the need for a systematic, transparent and error-free conduct of Population Enumeration to ensure the accuracy and completeness of census data.

The Deputy Commissioner also congratulated the Charge Census Officers and other officers and officials associated with Census operations for the successful completion of Phase-I of Census-2027.

Resource Persons and Master Trainers from the Directorate of Census Operations, J&K, are conducting technical sessions during the training programme.

The participants are being trained in various operational aspects of Population Enumeration, including enumeration procedures, use of Census schedules, data recording, field protocols, supervisory mechanisms and other related aspects of the Census exercise.

The two-day training programme is aimed at further strengthening the preparedness of the district administration and ensuring the smooth, coordinated and effective implementation of Phase-II of Census-2027 across district Ramban.
