RAMBAN, JULY 29: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today chaired a comprehensive meeting of senior Revenue officers to review the functioning of the Revenue Department and assess the status of restoration works undertaken following the recent heavy rainfall across the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak, SDM Banihal Mohammad Naseeb Bajraan, SDM Gool Imtiaz Ahmed,
SDM Ramsoo Sayed Mazahir Hussain Shah and all Tehsildars of the district.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed review of key matters and restoration works being carried out in different subdivisions and directed the SDMs and Tehsildars to ensure prompt redressal of public grievances, effective Service delivery and implementation of government programmes.
Reviewing the progress of revenue-related works, the Deputy Commissioner instructed all Tehsildars to achieve the prescribed targets well within the stipulated timelines and personally monitor the progress of all pending cases to ensure efficient public service delivery.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the implementation of the SVAMITVA Scheme and directed the Tehsildars to expedite the distribution of pending Property Cards. He instructed them to compile the latest figures of pending cases and verify the records with the Survey of India (SOI).
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress of the Agristack Digitization initiative and directed the concerned officers to expedite the implementation process and achieve the targets within the prescribed timeline.
Regarding the digitisation of land records, the Deputy Commissioner directed that the Lock-up of Jamabandi be completed on or before August 15, 2026, without fail. He also instructed all Tehsildars to ensure timely ground truthing of geo-referenced maps in their respective jurisdictions.
Reviewing revenue litigation, the Deputy Commissioner directed Tehsildars and other concerned officers to timely submit detailed reports in all pending court cases to facilitate their early disposal.
The Deputy Commissioner further instructed the officers to ensure timely mutation of acquired land and expedite the process of final awards in acquisition cases. He also directed Tehsildars to regularly monitor works related to the Revenue department and other Government buildings.
He directed them to take appropriate action against illegal constructions in accordance with the provisions of law.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the restoration of essential services and public infrastructure affected by recent heavy rainfall and instructed the SDMs and Tehsildars to closely monitor restoration works in their respective areas.
He directed them to coordinate with line departments to ensure the early restoration of roads, public utilities and other essential services, while remaining accessible to the public and addressing their grievances on priority.
