JAMMU, July 27: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, successfully concluded the CBSE Kho Kho Cluster XVIII Boys & Girls 2026–27 with a grand valedictory ceremony after four days of exciting competition and exemplary sportsmanship.
The Press Statement reads "The championship witnessed participation from 42 girls’ teams and 27 boys’ teams representing CBSE-affiliated schools. Despite the rainy weather, the participating teams displayed remarkable determination, resilience, and sporting spirit throughout the championship.
Competitions were held in the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories for both boys and girls. The ceremony featured a vibrant cultural presentation by the faculty members of music department, followed by the prize distribution ceremony.
The results were as follows: Championship Results Under-14 Boys: Army Public School, Jammu Cantt. secured the Gold medal, Doaba Public School, Hoshiarpur won the Silver medal, while Model Academy, Jammu and IDPS, Jammu shared the Bronze medal. Under-14 Girls: Divine Will Public School, Batala secured the Gold medal, Stephens International Public School, Jammu won the Silver medal, while Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu and Shaheed Darshan School, Amritsar shared the Bronze medal. Under-17 Boys: MCS Pathankot secured the Gold medal, Sant Swami Dass Public School, Phagwara won the Silver medal, while Model Academy, Jammu and SOS Hermann School, Jammu shared the Bronze medal. Under-17 Girls: Divine Will Public School, Batala secured the Gold medal, Guru Harkrishan Public School, Tarn Taran won the Silver medal, while MCS Pathankot and Guru Nanak Mission Public School, Jalandhar shared the Bronze medal. Under-19 Boys: Shifaly International School, Ludhiana secured the Gold medal, Kamla Nehru Public School, Phagwara won the Silver medal, while Doaba International Public School, Hoshiarpur and Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu shared the Bronze medal.
Under-19 Girls: MGN Public School, Jalandhar secured the Gold medal, Lawrence International School, Batala won the Silver medal, while Shifaly International School, Ludhiana and Kamla Nehru Public School, Phagwara shared the Bronze medal. Chief Guest of the event Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson Rohini Aima congratulated the winners and participants, stating that discipline, determination, and teamwork are the true hallmarks of sportsmanship.
The championship was conducted under the observation of Manmohan Singh, CBSE Observer, with technical support from the Jammu & Kashmir Kho Kho Association. Tarmeet Raina, Joint Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir Kho Kho Association and Administrative Officer, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, coordinated the championship with the association’s technical officials, ensuring its smooth and successful conduct.
The Management of Jammu Sanskriti School expressed gratitude to CBSE, the Jammu & Kashmir Kho Kho Association, officials, coaches, volunteers, participating schools, and parents for their support in making the championship a grand success.
