Jammu, July 21: In continuation of its sustained anti-encroachment campaign and the previous anti encroachment drives, the Jammu Development Authority again by adopting "Pick & Choose" under jurisdiction of one Estate Officer today conducted another anti-encroachment drive in the area surrounding the Jammu Tawi Railway Station to remove unauthorized encroachments from JDA land.
During the operation, nearly 20 unauthorized khokhas, temporary structures, and other encroachments were dismantled and removed by the Enforcement Wing of JDA but other lot of areas has been left free.
The drive was carried out smoothly and peacefully.
In words, the Authority reiterated that unauthorized occupations of public land not only impede planned urban development but also create inconvenience to commuters, compromise public safety, and hinder the efficient management of traffic, particularly during periods of heavy public movement.
The drive is part of JDA's continued efforts to reclaim public land, maintain civic order, and create a safe and accessible environment for residents, visitors, and pilgrims alike.
JDA has cautioned against any attempt to re-establish encroachments on the cleared land and has made it clear that strict action shall be taken against violators in accordance with the provisions of law.
The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to protecting public property and stated that similar anti-encroachment drives will continue across its jurisdiction to ensure planned development, effective land management, and greater public convenience.
