Chandigarh, July 08: An outsourced clerk posted with CPWD Division No 2 Chandigarh was caught red-handed by the Chandigarh Vigilance Cell while allegedly accepting a 30,000Rs. bribe.
The accused demanded the bribe to process the complainant's father's pension and other financial benefits.
Acting on the complaint, the Vigilance Cell laid a trap and caught him accepting the money behind the Old UT Secretariat Building in Sector 9.
An FIR has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation is underway.
