Jammu, July 02: J&K Govt vide Government Order No. 229-PW(R&B) of 2026 accepts resignation tendered by an Engineer , details with CTN read as under:-
WHEREAS, vide Government Order No. 61-PW(R&B) of dated: 07.03.2024, among others, Mr. Shahnawaz Jami, was appointed as Junior Engineer on the recommendation of the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board and was placed at the disposal of Chief Engineer, PW(R&B) Department, Zone South Kashmir; AND
WHEREAS, the Chief Engineer, Public Works (R&B) Department, Zone South Kashmir vide Letter No. CE/R&B/SK/ADM/12662 dated 30.03.2026, recommended case for acceptance of resignation submitted Mr. Shahnawaz Jami, Junior Engineer, on the grounds that the he intends to explore opportunities in the academic sector; AND
WHEREAS, the matter has been examined/considered with reference to the rules governing the subject and it has been observed that the concern official is still on probation; AND
WHEREAS, Rule 21(1) of J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal), Rules, 1956, provides as under: "At any time before the expiry of the prescribed period of probation, the appointing authority may:
(a) suspend the probation of a probationer and discharge him from service for want of vacancy; and (b) at its discretion, terminate the probation of a probationer and discharge him from service."
NOW, THEREFORE, in terms of Rules 21(1) (b) of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956, the probation of Mr. Shahnawaz Jami, Junior Engineer, is hereby terminated and he is discharged from the Government service w.e.f.18.02.2026, on his own request.
