JAMMU, June 29: No doubts JKUT always speaks in media on transparency and accountability & good governance but after being questioned by public for non compliance of LGs two ACs Decisions dtd 29th Jan 2022 & 25th July 2024 & above all non compliance by Minister of CM's orders dtd 15th September 2025b over deciding one & only one issue of Gair Mumkin Khad lands but no actions by LG or CM for their non compliance for deciding issue causing harassment to thousand of innocents, now CIC has exposed serious lapses in the implementation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act across several Government departments in Jammu and Kashmi, which raised a pointer towards working of JKUT Govt as a whole?
After failure to furnish information within statutory timelines and disregard of appellate orders to unexplained absence from Commission hearings, officials in the Revenue Department, SICOP, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Public Works Department etc etc have come under the scanner, prompting the CIC to initiate show-cause proceedings, seek explanations and warn of penal action.
The findings questioned in separate cases pointed towards a shocking pattern of administrative indifference that has repeatedly forced citizens to approach the country's highest transparency watchdog to secure information guaranteed under law.
However, Cross Town News is in possession of countless documents of such kind of actions by which top bosses of JKUT has been questioned for their working & non compliances by CAT, High Court CIC, which shall follow, otherwise which proved that such kind of officers have lost their utility in the administraton & needed to be chopped off as deadwood as per guidelines of Art 311 & 226(2), which shall follow........
