In one case, application was submitted to JDA over so called proposed road in the year 2024 followed by other reminders for deemed sanction of permission but incompetence of officers can be observed, after waiting for more than two years Secretary & CTP informed/communicated to applicant to submit said request to Govt & if otherwise said office of VC JDA, who is custodian of Master Plan & the issue pertains to Master Plan could not understand the issue could have forwarded the request to Govt, who or which soever, raised a question on them.
Now, JDA has again demolished around 26 khokha in the wee hours of today adjoining Railway Station Jammu.
In this context, concerned while speaking to Managing Editor Cross Town News said that one consideration order of VC JDA vide No. JDA/VC/2026-27/18-19 Dated. 10.06.2026 was affixed on Khokhas at afternoon of 16th June, 2026 & time & date can be clearly observed from the screenshot but no any Notice under various sections, which was required under rules & acts was not served, which speaks something fishy in the picture?
They said One, should be aware of the matter that once upon a time JDA has issued Notices under various Sections for illegal encroachments of JDA Lands & some where Sign Boards were also fixed but none of those structures has been removed from Govt lands, which raised a pointer towards Notice Issuing , needed to be enquired to detect a scam of adopting "Pick & Choose" in demolitions, which otherwise speak of violation of Art 14 & 16 of Constitution of India?
