Jammu, May 05: Piyush Singla, Secretary to Govt, Information Technology orders for mandatory Deactivation of e-Office Access of Retired Government Officials Immediate Compliance. Copy with CTN, which read as under:-
"It has come to the notice of the Government that, pursuant to a detailed analysis conducted by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), J&K, a number of retired officials continue to retain active user credentials on the e-Office platform".
The retention of such access after cessation of service is contrary to established information security norms, violates the principles of role-based access control and poses inherent risks to the confidentiality, integrity and orderly functioning of Government digital systems.
Its further results in sub-optimal utilization of licensed resources and constitutes deviation from the ICT governance standards prescribed for Government IT platforms.
All Administrative Departments are accordingly enjoined upon to ensure immediate initiation and time-bound completion of this verification process and furnish the requisite information to the National Informatics Centre, J&K, as stipulated above.
