Leh, Apr 07: Lieutenant Governor, Vinai Kumar Saxena today ordered renewal of expired lands & to take up renewal of expired land lease deeds from April 15, which was a long-pending demand of the people of the UT.
LG said that "this will offer a big relief to a large population in Ladakh, as it gives a legal security to their land titles. Have directed the Chief Secretary to organise special camps for clearing all such pending cases and hand them over the renewed lease deeds. The first such camp will be organised on April 15, where after verification of documents and processing of licence fee, renewed lease deeds will be handed over to the applicants,” LG Ladakh said on his official X handle.
