JAMMU: Senior vice president Jammu Chamber of Commerce & Industry attended a meeting called by Director Industries & Commerce Arun Manhas at Udhyog bhawan on April 04/2026 which was chaired by Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner/Secretary Industries & Commerce Department .
Anil Gupta thanked Commissioner
& Director to take the concern of hardships of industrial sector .
Anil Gupta said Industrial sector is paying heavy casting value as in J&K industry fraternity has to purchase raw materials from outside UT & after paying inward freight there casting of finished goods go higher & also there is less market in J&K and industrialists seek other markets out of UT to sell their finished goods
Gupta said Labours in factories are also not getting LPG which causes them to move to their native villages.
Restaurants,hotels ,daily wagers like street Foods sellers are also shutting down their premises.
Gupta thanks Officers for their kind intervention resulting in the restoration of 70% LPG to industrial units.
Gupta also said that in this hard time incentives of industry should be released in time bound manner such as full amount of turnover incentive.
