POONCH, MARCH 07: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) with special focus on digitization of land records and updation of Jamabandis across all tehsils of the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Muhammad Sayeed, while all Sub Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars, NTs, GQs and Patwaris through virtual mode.
While taking stock of the progress achieved so far, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of accuracy, transparency and timely completion of digitization activities.
He directed the concerned SDMs and Tehsildars to expedite the process of redressal of grievances, entry of backlog mutations and final freezing of jammabandies.
The Deputy Commissioner further instructed field staff to redouble their efforts in maintaining updated and error-free revenue records and ensuring prompt and efficient service delivery to the public.
He also directed all Tehsildars to conduct meetings with Patwaris on daily basis to review the status of digitization work, verify revenue records and ensure transparency in the process.
The Assistant Commissioner Revenue and SDMs were asked to closely monitor the progress of revenue record digitization across all tehsils and submit regular progress reports to the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also issued directions to assess and rectify basic errors in the records, clear the backlog of revenue entries and mutations and ensure proper distinction and verification of records so that the public receives accurate and reliable land-related services.
