DC Ramban directs officers to resolve public issues in a time bound manner?

Ramban, December 31: Continuing his public outreach programme to ensure timely resolution of public issues at their doorsteps, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today conducted a Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Panchayat Kanthi of Block Ramban.

The camp witnessed active participation of senior district officers, including Assistant Commissioner Development Sheraz Ahmed, Tehsildar Ramban, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers of PWD, PMGSY and Jal Shakti, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, Block Development Officer Ramban, besides officers from various line departments.

During the interaction, the Deputy Commissioner patiently listened to the grievances and demands raised by the local residents. Most of the issues of public importance were resolved on the spot, while matters requiring further examination were referred to the concerned departments with clear directions for time-bound redressal.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Department, to ensure early completion and proper functioning of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and other water supply schemes in the area.

He also instructed the Chief Education Officer to make the Girls Hostel at Kanthi functional from the current academic session to facilitate access to quality education for girls, along with rationalisation of teaching staff to address shortages.

Further, the Executive Engineer, PWD, was directed to expedite ongoing road construction works to ensure their timely completion.

The Executive Engineer concerned and the Tehsildar were also instructed to jointly visit Kanthi market to ensure proper parking arrangements on the already acquired land for the road project.

Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner directed the AYUSH Department to operationalise the AYUSH Wellness Centre at Kanthi from the newly constructed building.

The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the stalls set up by various departments to provide on-the-spot services and information regarding their respective schemes.

Earlier, officers from different departments sensitised the public about ongoing welfare and developmental schemes and provided necessary guidance and handholding to eligible beneficiaries for availing benefits.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected various ongoing developmental works in the area and addressed bottlenecks on the spot to ensure smooth and timely execution of works.
