RAMBAN, Dec 6: It is to mention here that Master Plan of Patnitop Dev Authority was notified in the year 2000 & despite lapse of 25 years on today Bye Laws of same MP of 2000 being used by bosses of Patnitop Development Authority in open violation of J&K Development Act of 1970 over its revisions, which is causing hinderances in new developments in the jurisdiction of PDA.
It is also the need of the day to mention here that CEOs of PDA have wasted lakh of rupee on revision of Master Plan of PDA since years but till day whereabout its revision is only known to CEOs but not to public causing harassment genuine peoples for their constructions as Unified Building bye Laws 0f 2021, which is not been implemented by PDA as revised MP is hanging in fire on the proved fault of CEOs.
Today, Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan chaired a meeting of the Building Operations Controlling Authority (BOCA) of the Patnitop Development Authority (PDA) to review and decide key matters pertaining to planning, building permissions and construction activities within the PDA jurisdiction.
The meeting was attended by CEO PDA Virender Kumar Manyal; ACR Shokat Hayat Mattoo; XEN PWD, DFO and officers from concerned departments, who provided technical, legal, and environmental inputs.
Town Planner Manoj Kumar joined the meeting through virtual mode. At the outset, the CEO PDA presented the agenda before the committee, following which detailed discussions were held on various cases.
The meeting examined applications related to construction of residential and commercial buildings, repair and renovation of existing structures, permissions sought by hereditary local residents and development of land, including both fresh and pending cases.
All matters were assessed on merit with strict focus on adherence to the Patnitop Master Plan and applicable building bylaws.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for transparency, timely disposal of applications and strict action against unauthorized constructions but who will verify it shall remain a question?
He directed all departments to strengthen interdepartmental coordination to ensure smooth, lawful and efficient processing of building permission cases.
He further stressed the importance of executing development works strictly in accordance with the Master Plan to preserve the ecological and tourism value of the Patnitop area.
