JAMMU, Dec 02:  Jammu Sanskriti School today organized a vibrant and inspiring Special Sports Day to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The Press statement reads "The event, held on the school premises, resonated with this year’s global theme, “Pathways to Possibilities,” focusing on ability, empowerment, and the boundless potential of every individual.

The occasion was graced by Nitish Rajora (IAS), Director of the Information Department, Jammu & Kashmir, as the Chief Guest.

His presence underscored the significance of societal and institutional support for inclusive initiatives. In his address, he commended the school’s efforts in fostering an environment of equality and participation.

The event was also honored by the presence and motivating words of Rohini Aima, Vice-Chairperson of the school. She applauded the spirit of the day, stating, “Today, we are not just celebrating sports; we are celebrating human spirit, resilience, and the incredible ‘pathways to possibilities’ that open up when we embrace inclusion. Our mentors have done a wonderful job in orchestrating this event, but the true stars today are our students, whose enthusiasm and determination have lit up the field.” The Special Sports Day featured a series of adaptive and inclusive sports activities designed to ensure participation and enjoyment for all students.

The air was filled with cheers, encouragement, and a profound sense of camaraderie as students took part in events such as the Ramp Walk with Mothers, where Munib, Owais, and Dharvi secured the top three positions respectively, and the energetic Lemon Race with Fathers, won by Karanveer Singh, followed by Muneef and Varaspreet Singh. Unified events brought forward the spirit of togetherness, with Jeevika & Adhira winning the Unified Race (Girls) , Jasvi and Prabkirat secured second, Bhuvika and Aahana got third position and Aariz & Atharva leading the Unified Race (Boys), Aadarsh and Damanjot got second while Umair and Simarpreet secured 3rd position, Competitive zeal continued in the Hurdle Race (Boys) where Anand claimed first place Varaspreet claimed second and Manan got third, while Bocce Ball Girls across groups saw outstanding performances by Taiaya first and Snigdh Second while in boys Group 2 Category Ansh got first and Abhinav got second position and Jasjeet first and Varaspreet second as group 3 toppers in bocce ball.

Adding further excitement, the Basket and Cone Races showcased great enthusiasm: Vikrant got first Muneeb got second and Ruhan is awarded with third prize , Rahat, Samrath and Arvind and their peers demonstrated excellent coordination and speed across their respective groups and awarded with first , second and third positions respectively . The Cone Races for boys and girls added vibrance to the day, with Adhyan awarded with first and Jasjeet and Manvik were awarded second and third positions and Akruti emerging as champions in their categories followed by Priyanshi and Snigdh as second and third position holders.


The meticulous planning and compassionate execution by the school mentors were widely praised for creating a seamless and joyful experience. Ultimately, the day belonged to the students, who participated with exceptional zeal and sportsmanship, embodying the theme and demonstrating that with the right opportunities, there are no limits to what can be achieved. Parents applauded the school’s efforts and expressed great delight with the well-organized and heartening event, which served as a powerful reminder of the importance of building inclusive spaces. The day aligned perfectly with Jammu Sanskriti School’s ongoing commitment to holistic and equitable education."
