JAMMU, Nov 28: MLA Bishnah Dr Rajeev Kumar Bhagat carried out a surprise inspection at the Sub-District Hospital Bishnah & found 39 Doctors and paramedical staff members absent from duty without sanctioned leave or prior intimation.
The MLA noted that such a large-scale lapse in attendance at a key healthcare institution represents a serious breach of responsibility and significantly undermines public trust, especially when the facility caters to a substantial population relying on timely medical attention.
Expressing deep dissatisfaction over the dereliction of duty, Dr Bhagat stated that negligence of this nature disrupts smooth hospital functioning and causes immense inconvenience and distress to patients.
He recommended Tehsildar Bishnah to withhold the salaries of all 39 absent employees & emphasized that regular attendance and responsible conduct by hospital staff are non-negotiable and essential for ensuring the effective and uninterrupted delivery of health services to the community.
