Lands worth Rs 205 crores retrieved in Jammu district since Aug 15 , 2025

Jammu, Nov 22: The anti-encroachment drive against land grabbers and drug peddlers continued for the second day on Saturday on the outskirts of Jammu, with authorities demolishing several illegal constructions and retrieving 1.75 acres of land , making total retrieval of State Lands worth market value of Rs 205 crores, since 15th August , 2025.

The operation was conducted on the directions of District Magistrate Rakesh Minhas, in coordination with Jammu SSP Joginder Singh.

On the first day of the drive, more than 16 acres of prime land worth crores of rupees were retrieved after razing a number of structures to the ground, including residential and commercial buildings at Sikanderpur in Bishnah Tehsil.

On Saturday, the district administration carried out an anti-encroachment operation at Harsa Dabbar village.

Strict legal action will be initiated against the violators, including those involved in narcotics-related offences.

Sources told Cross Town News and also as earlier reported by Cross Town News , DC Jammu Rakesh Minhas has deputed Secret team of Officers for the purpose of figuring out cases of Grabbing of prime Lands in Jammu.

DC Jammu Rakesh Minhas  has already acted in six cases in coordination with Jammu Police under SSP Joginder Singh, where Lands worth Market value of Rs 15 crores retrieved in Janipur & Bantalab belt , worth 30 crores in Chowadhi belt , worth Rs 8 crores in Sidhra , worth Rs 150 crores in Bisnah belt and worth Rs 2 crores in Sainik Colony extension.

Sources further told Cross Town News that by year end Prime Lands worth Rs 100 crores likely to be retrieved further on which DC Office is working , which shall be utilized for the Public purpose.
