DHS Kashmir orders display of Doctors’ Rosters across District Hospitals, other Healthcare Institutions

SRINAGAR, Nov 22: The Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir, has directed all district hospitals and healthcare institutions in the region to display daily duty rosters of doctors, including specialists, medical officers, casualty and emergency staff, and leave arrangements.

Circular added that roster must be updated daily and displayed prominently at key locations within hospital premises, including the main entrance, OPD blocks, emergency/casualty sections, and, where applicable, hospital websites or online portals.

Each roster should clearly mention the name, designation, department, duty hours, and contact or extension numbers of doctors on duty.

It emphasises that Medical Superintendents will be personally responsible for the accuracy and timely updating of the rosters. Non-compliance will be taken seriously and may lead to disciplinary action under existing rules.
